DAVENPORT, Iowa – The battle for the Davenport Speedway track championships begins this Friday, April 24, with the Koehler Electric-sponsored season opener.
All five weekly classes – the Milan Heating & Air IMCA Modifieds, Petersen Plumbing & Heating IMCA Late Models, Hawkeye Auto IMCA Northern SportMods, Koehler Electric Street Stocks and Roto-Rooter 4-Stocks, will be in action on the 1/4-mile dirt oval.
Defending track champions are Doug Crampton, Modified; Justin Kay, Late Model; Bryce Garnhart, Northern SportMod; Donnie Louck, street stock; and Brandon Dahl, 4-stock.
Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street in Davenport. Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.
