Thunderhill Raceway postpones practice

STURGEON BAY, Wis. – Track officials at Thunderhill Raceway have decided to postpone the open practice originally scheduled for Saturday, April 4.

The open session has been moved to Saturday April 18. A start time has yet to be determined.

“We put the practice on our schedule just in case things warmed up early. That way we had two options,” explained Promoter Woody Wodack.“With last week being cold, windy and sometimes sleeting, we weren’t able to prep things like we wanted. It’s all about keeping our track great and with the forecast looking promising, we’ll be good to go on the 18th.”

With cars racing in Iowa and at Seymour Speedway on Saturday afternoon, Wodack added that “it just made sense to push everything till after the R.A.C.E. Car Show and benefit that takes place on April 11.”

The first point night for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks is Saturday, April 25 and will be sponsored by WDOR.
