New Nebraska series needs name, slogan

Attention all race fans and drivers, history has been made!

We are proud to announce that four Nebraska tracks have come together like never before. U.S. 30 Speedway, Boone County Speedway, Off Road Speedway and Stuart Raceway, in cooperation with IMCA are excited to announce a new race series to be hosted at these four tracks.

The series will include the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts.

Series champions will qualify for bonus points as each track will host two nights of racing for each division.

The series schedule is as follows:

Thursday, May 21 at U.S. 30 Speedway in Columbus;

Saturday, May 23 at Off Road Speedway in Norfolk;

Sunday, June 7 at Stuart Raceway in Stuart;

Friday, June 19 at Boone County Speedway in Albion;

Sunday, July 12 at Stuart Raceway in Stuart;

Thursday, July 16 at U.S. 30 Speedway in Columbus;

Friday, July 31 at Boone County Speedway in Albion;

and Saturday, Aug. 15 at Off Road Speedway in Norfolk.

Now race fans and drivers, here is where we would like you to get involved. Track representatives want your help in naming this historic dirt series as well as a slogan to accompany the name that encompasses the dirt track racing in this region of the country.

As examples, “U.S. 30 Speedway, Home of Thursday Night Thunder,” “Boone County Speedway, Under the lights…On Friday nights!,” and “Stuart Raceway, Where families come to race.”

The rules are simple, click on the link below to submit your idea for the name and slogan of the new dirt series. The deadline to submit your idea is April 10. The representatives from the four tracks will get together and select a winner from all that are submitted and the winner will be announced on our social network sites.

You may ask “What’s in it for me?” If you are the winner you will receive two free grandstand passes to all eight series races and the opportunity to help present the championship trophies on Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Off Road Speedway in Norfolk.
