Nine dates for new IMCA Sprint Series of Nebraska

EAGLE, Neb. (March 26) – Opening night for the inaugural Sprint Series of Nebraska comes on night two of Eagle Raceway’s Ice Breaker Challenge.

The Saturday, April 18 main event for touring IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Cars pays $1,000 to win.

Another eight dates are on the 2015 schedule, including Fridays, April 24 and Sept. 11 at Eagle.

Thursday shows at U.S. 30 Speedway in Columbus are May 7, June 4 and Aug. 13. Butler County Speedway at Rising City hosts the Friday, June 19 event and the series is at Beatrice Speedway on Sunday, July 26.

The finale is Thursday, Sept. 17 at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood.

Standard payout for series events is $700 to win and a minimum of $250 to start. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Allstar Performance State and special series points will be awarded each night.

“We came up with a schedule that minimizes travel for drivers but still has enough dates to make the champion eligible for bonus points,” noted Tour Director Roger Hadan. “We want to build onto the fan base for these cars while giving tracks the opportunity to run special events and not have to spend a lot of money doing it.”

Title sponsor for the series is Precise Racing Products of Bennington. More information is available at the www.sprintseriesofnebraska.com website and on Facebook.

“This series is a perfect complement to drivers’ regular weekly racing,” Hadan said. “IMCA and (RaceSaver founder) French Grimes created an ideal foundation for an economical, fan-friendly tour like this. “
