Axle Exchange program continues to grow with new IMCA Late Model awards

DES MOINES, Iowa – The number of IMCA track champions receiving product certificates from Axle Exchange nears the 400 mark this season, with the addition of Late Models to the post-season awards program.

In addition to Late Models, the Des Moines, Iowa, manufacturer of the Fast Shafts brand of drive shafts gives two $25 product certificates to all local track champions in the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and Scoggin-Dicky Parts Center Southern SportMod divisions.

“The Late Model driveshaft rules have changed in 2015 and Fast Shafts steps up to add that division to their contingency slate,” noted IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “We’ve worked with them for a long time and their support and input has been very valuable.”

Fast Shafts returns to national decal programs for the Stock Cars, Northern SportMods and Southern SportMods. Drivers in all three divisions must display two Fast Shafts decals on their race car to be eligible for point fund shares.

Track champion product certificates and point fund checks will be presented during the national banquet in November, or be mailed beginning the following week from the IMCA home office.

In its 13th season as an IMCA marketing partner, Axle Exchange also returns as sponsor of the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational and furnishes a portion of the purse paid to the 30 Modified starters in the Sept. 11 special during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

All-Star drivers will receive a custom chrome moly drive shaft.

Ninety-nine different drivers from 24 states and Canada have been elected to the All-Star field since the invitational’s inception in 2004.
