Four IMCA divisions featured at Abilene’s Feb. 20-22 Ice Breaker

ABILENE, Texas – Four IMCA divisions start the 2015 season with the traditional Ice Breaker special at Abilene Speedway Fri­day, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 20-22.

IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds run for $700 to win each night, Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods for $600, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $400 and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250.

All applicable IMCA points, including track points, will be awarded for each draw/redraw show. Home region points will be awarded to Modified, Stock and Hobby drivers; Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods can race but not for points.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. hot laps are from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

The pits open at 3 p.m., hot laps are from 5-6 p.m. and racing is at 7 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday, church services at the track are at 9:45 a.m., pit gates open at 11 a.m., hot laps are from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and racing gets underway at 1 p.m.

Gates open at 11 a.m. and practice is from noon-4 p.m. Sundays Feb. 8 and 15. Gates open at 5 p.m. and an open practice runs from 6-10 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19.
