Sunoco Race Fuels renews divisional title roles for IMCA Stocks and Hobbies, plus Deery cash awards

LINWOOD, Pa. – Synonymous with IMCA racing for more than two decades, Sunoco Race Fuels returns to prestigious partnership roles with the sanctioning body in 2015.

Manufacturer of the official fuel of IMCA and based in Linwood, Pa., Sunoco has renewed its title sponsorship for both the Stock Car and Hobby Stock divisions.

Top 15 drivers in final national standings for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars receive shares of a $5,000 point fund. A total of $3,000 will be paid to top 15 drivers in national IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock standings.

An IMCA sponsor since 1993, Sunoco became title sponsor of the Stock Car division in 1999 and for the Hobby Stock division in 2006.

“Sunoco Race Fuels has been one of the cornerstone partners of IMCA racing for a long time and we are honored to partner with them,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “Sunoco awarded over $22,000 in cash to IMCA racers last season and their commitment to do the same this year heightens our anticipation for the 2015 racing season to begin.”

Sunoco also provides the $2,000 purse to be paid for the Stock Car Race of Champions to be held during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

No change has been made in eligibility for the Race of Champions, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12 at Boone Speedway: 2015 track champions or point leaders in attendance, and former national champions, Super Nationals champions and race winners are eligible to qualify for the 15th annual event.

Drivers with perfect attendance throughout the 2015 Deery Brothers Summer Series will be entered in drawings for $250 cash prizes from Sunoco when they qualify for each Late Model main event. Another $2,000 in cash will be divided equally among drivers who compete at all series races this season.

Late Model, Stock Car and Hobby Stock drivers are required to display two Sunoco decals on their race car and to compete with Sunoco race fuel to be eligible for point fund shares or cash awards.

Those decals will be included in packets mailed to Stock Car and Hobby Stock drivers after they purchase 2015 competitor’s licenses and will be available in pre-race tech inspection at all Deery Series events.
