Kennedale Speedway Park hosts Showdown special this weekend

KENNEDALE, Texas – Kennedale Speedway Park’s eighth annual Showdown special is Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3-4, with four IMCA divisions on the card.

Topless IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, topless Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods, IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Cars and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars all run for $1,500 to win.

The Modified feature is a qualifier for the 2015 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2 for registration and a 6-10 p.m. practice session. Pit passes that evening are $15 and grandstand admission is free.

On Friday, gates open at 3 p.m., the draw closes at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and military and $5 for kids ages 6-11.

Gates also open at 3 p.m. Saturday. The draw closes at 5 p.m. and racing begins at 6 p.m. Admission will be $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and military, and $5 for kids.

Youngsters five and under get in free both days. Pit passes are $25 on Friday and $30 on Saturday.
