IMCA Spectacular ends Buffalo River Race Park season this weekend

GLYNDON, Minn. – IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds race for $1,000 to win on the final night of the season at Buffalo River Race Park.

All applicable IMCA points will be awarded for Fargo Tractor IMCA Spectacular presented by Performance Auto shows on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 13 and 14.

Modifieds chase a $750 top check on Saturday and earn a minimum of $100 by starting the main event both days. The Sunday feature is a qualifying event for the 2015 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.

Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods vie for $300 to win on Saturday and for $500 on Sunday.

There is no entry fee; car and driver is $30.

Contingency awards will include a $300 gift card from Velocita; two containment kits, each valued at $400, from The Joie of Seating; two shock rebuilds from Bob Harris Enterprises; mud plugs from Dirt Defender; and three $150 gas cards for the highest finishing long tow drivers from Petro Truck Stops.

To be announced are contingencies from a number of IMCA marketing partners, among them AERO Race Wheels, BSB Manufacturing and Victory Chassis.

Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and free for ages five and under. Pit passes are $30.

Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4 p.m. Racing starts at 6 p.m.

IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock drivers can race with local pure stocks in a $500 to win, minimum $100 to start main event Sunday at Glyndon.
