MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (Aug. 15) – Racer Hulin was the winner in the Friday nightcap at Marshalltown Speedway.
Andrew Kinser led the first lap od the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified main after Joel Bushore jumped the cushion in turns three and four. On lap two, Kinser, Bushore and Jake Strayer went three wide for the lead.
Strayer took the lead and pulled away only to see the caution come out three times for debris.
After the final caution on lap 12, Hulin grabbed the lead away the next time around and went on to take the win. Strayer was second, Ronn Lauritzen was third, Adam Larson was fourth and Tyler Droste was fifth.
The only thing slowing Damon Murty from another IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers was lapped traffic.
Clint Luellen found the outside to his liking as he beat Shawn Ritter on the last lap to take the Big Eight Tyre Center IMCA Northern SportMod win.
Austin Luellen scored his eighth local IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock win of the season.
