Aug. 15 IMCA Modified winner earns $1,000 at Luxemburg

LUXEMBURG, Wis. – The Cory Jonet Memorial returns to Luxemburg Speedway this Friday, Aug. 15. This is the second year for the memorial. Racing gets underway at 7 p.m. All five divisions will be in action. Village Kitchen is the sponsor for the evening.

The IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified winner will go home with $1,000. Eddie Muenster picked up the win last week in impressive fashion. Jason Czarapata is in search of his first-ever Modified crown at Luxemburg. He owns a 21-point lead on James Tebon.

Brandon Czarapata is inching closer to his third straight title in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car division. He won his fifth feature of the season and opened up a five point advantage over Rod Snellenberger.

Lucas Lamberies picked up his second main event win of the season in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod division in a season where he has run on a limited basis. Andy Kleczka had another strong top three finish. He now holds court in the standings by seven over Troy DeGrave.

Marcus Moede won the opening night IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature and finally knocked off another win last week. Derek Moede won last year’s title and is in good shape for number two with a 13 point cushion on Dan Van Pay.
