OSKALOOSA, Iowa (July 9) – Cayden Carter was a double winner Wednesday at Southern Iowa Speedway, following his run to the Budweiser IMCA Stock Car checkers with a visit to victory lane after the Musco Lighting IMCA Modified main.
Carter took the lead on lap eight and stayed in front to the Stock Car finish. He shot out to the early lead in the Modified go and never looked back in taking his first local win of the season in that division.
Ryan Fullenkamp led every lap of a caution-free KBOE Radio IMCA Northern SportMod main event.
Mike Hughes won his third straight and seventh local Pepsi Cola Mahaska Bottling Company IMCA Hobby Stock feature while Bill Whalen Jr. lead all 10 laps in the Mach-1 Sport Compact feature to take his fourth win of the season at SIS.
