LEXINGTON, Neb. (June 29) – Getting their chance to shine in the limelight after conquering the Dawson County Raceway oval to Sunday night were Kyle Rohleder, Jamey Kennicutt, Mike Nichols and Kyle Bond.
Making his first visit of the season to Lexington, Rohleder rode the cushion to the lead on the eighth circuit and cruised to the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified victory.
Kennicutt grabbed the lead on the fourth lap and never looked back in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature. Ageless wonder Denny Egge battled through traffic from his fifth row starting position to finish second.
The high line also proved fastest for Nichols in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car headliner. He took over the front spot and held off the determined Casey Werkmeister.
Breaking through for his second straight IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock win was Bond, who led the final 10 laps after starting in the fourth row.
