Inaugural Thunderhill Raceway Hall of Fame induction is June 28

STURGEON BAY, Wis. – Race fans, old timers and historians this is a night you want to attend as Thunderhill Raceway will induct the first seven members into its Hall of Fame.

The inaugural Class of 2014 will be inducted this Saturday, June 28. Hall of Famers are Clyde LeMieux Sr., Irv Ettien, Les Sternard, Dale Knudson, Joe Haferkorn, Butch Georgenson and Fritz VanDuyse.

The program is sponsored by Wicked Witch Enterprises. Tom Wagner is hosting the night’s events and will be calling the action on the track as well.

Five divisions do battle Saturday, the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and the Street Stocks.

The bounty for anyone who can beat Bill LeMieux in the Street Stocks now stands at $400. The only rules to the bounty are that LeMieux must finish and it must be clean race.

Racing gets underway at 6 p.m. Adult admission is $10 at the front gate.
