Weekly Race Wars continue Saturday at Thunderhill

STURGEON BAY, Wis. – Thunderhill Raceway heads into night number five of the Weekly Race Wars this Saturday, June 14. The evening’s program is sponsored by Marchant’s Meats & Sausage of Sturgeon Bay and as a special treat the ribeye sandwich will return to the concession stand.

Race Wars continue as Street Stock point leader Billy LeMieux won his fourth feature in a row, raising the bounty for anyone who can beat him to $300. This money goes on top of the winner’s purse. Dating back to last season, LeMieux has won seven of the last eight features.

Going in the record books is Todd Dart with his 49th feature win at Thunderhill in the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds. Dart also holds the point lead by six marks over James Tebon. Dart is one feature win away from tying Charlie Kroll for the most main event wins at Thunderhill.

Shawn Havel leads the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars with a three point edge over Charlie Kroll.

Ryan LeMieux’s lead in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods as shrunk to just one point over Chris Budzban.

In IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock action, Jeremy Jauquet is clinging to a two point margin over Derek Moede.

Pit gates open at 3:30 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. Saturday.
