DODGE CITY, Kan. – After a pair of idle weekends, the 3/8-mile Dodge City Raceway Park clay oval fires back to life with a full card of championship chase action this Saturday night, June 14.

With five different winners in as many events thus far in 2014, the IMCA xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds headline Saturday’s card that also includes IMCA SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Thunder Cars and Hornets. Racing gets under way at 7:30 p.m.

Action has been unpredictable in the Modified ranks with a different face in victory lane each time out. Clay Sellard, Joel Lane and Jesse Smith have each captured first career DCRP wins in the Modified ranks with Van Gemmill and Scott Brown victorious as well.

Although shut out of victory lane so far, defending track champion Austin Allen has moved atop the point charts by a slim two-point margin over Ryan Heger.
Defending SportMod champ Jeff Kaup has posted a pair of wins to open a 22-point advantage over Austin Walker and 26 over Josh Appel.

Perry Misner’s run of Stock Car perfection was interrupted by an Angel Munoz win last time out on May 24. Still, Misner holds a 13-point advantage in the title chase over Dusty Witthuhn.

Tickets to Saturday’s championship chase action at Dodge City Raceway Park are $10 for adults with children 11 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Pit passes are $30.
