BRITT, Iowa (June 6) – Blake Cole in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Ryan Bryant in the Mach-1 Sport Compacts Friday at Hancock County Speedway.
Cole was the best for a second straight week in the always-competitive Stock Car class after starting on the outside of row two and holding off a serious challenge from the hard-charging David Smith.
Bryant topped the Sport Compacts for a fourth straight week. The runner-up spot went to Megan Lappegard with Jacob Kofoot earning the third spot; Devin Jones was fourth and Taylor Earles finished fifth.
Ned Kalis was third, Calvin Lange took fourth and Craig Berhow placed fifth.
Jesse Hoeft used his front row outside starting position to full advantage in grabbing his first career IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified feature win, holding off a hard-charging Jeremy Mills, who started 11th.
Levi Nielsen finished third with Tad Reutzel ending up fourth and Mark Elliott was fifth. Greg Elliott improved from 25th to take sixth.
Clay Evans grabbed his second Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod victory of the 2014 season at Hancock County as he piloted his no. 54E rig into the winner’s circle from the outside of the second row.
Ben Kraus was the runner-up followed by Shane Swanson, Nate Whitehurst and Nick Meyer.
Chad Gentz earned his first IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock victory of the season as he took a liking to his outside front row starting spot. Cody Nielsen finished second with Kyle Schmauss taking third, Brandon Nielsen fourth and Scott Dobel fifth.
