Dominick Bruns Memorial Challenge Cup Chase dates set

DANUBE, Minn. – The Dominick Bruns Memorial Challenge Cup Chase for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars boasts a trio of $1,000 to win features at as many different Minnesota speedplants.

Features on Saturday, June 7 at Jackson Speedway, Friday, July 18 at Murray County Speedway and Sunday, Aug. 10 at Redwood Speedway all pay a minimum of $100 to start.

The top driver in point standings for the three nights earns a $1,000 share of the $2,000 series point fund and becomes eligible to qualify for the Sunoco Race Fuels Race of Champions during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

The runner-up in points earns $600 and third place in the standings is good for $400.

IMCA driver Shaun Bruns and his wife Becky founded the Dominick Bruns Memorial Foundation in 2008 after losing their son to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. The series point fund is generated by the sale of T-shirts and racing shirts by the foundation along with contributions from area sponsors.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m.at Jackson. Hot laps are at 6 p.m. with racing to follow.

Spectator admission is $12 for adults, $10 for students ages 13-17 and free for kids 12 and under accompanying a paid adult. Pit passes are $25.

Murray County opens the pit gates at 5 p.m. and the grandstand at 6 p.m. Racing follows 7:15 p.m. hot laps.

Admission to the grandstand is $12 for adults, $7 for kids 11-15 and free for 10 and under. Car and driver is $35; pit passes are $25.

Redwood opens the pit gates at 3:30 p.m. and the grandstand at 4:30 p.m. Racing follows 5:15 hot laps.

Pit passes are $25. Admission for spectators is $12 for adults, $8 for teenagers and free for kids 12 and under when attending with a paid adult. NASCAR Camping World Truck and Nationwide Series driver Jennifer Jo Cobb is a special guest that evening.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Arnold Motor Supply Northern Region, Allstar Performance State and local track points, as well as special series points, will be given all three nights.

Kids attending Bruns Challenge Cup Chase events will be eligible for drawings for checkered flags autographed by Stock Car drivers competing at the respective events.
