BATTLE MOUNTAIN, Nev. – A pair of $1,000 to win features for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds are on the program for Battle Mountain Raceway’s inaugural Iturriaga NAPA Memorial Race Friday and Saturday, May 30-31.
Both races are Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying events and the first races in the first annual I-80 Challenge Series.
IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Racing Western Region, Allstar Performance State, special series and local track points will be awarded.
Pit gates open at 5 p.m. and optional hot laps begin at 5:30 p.m. both days. All drivers must check in at the pit window by 7 p.m.; racing follows the 7:15 p.m. drivers’ meeting.
Grandstand admission is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, and free for kids five and under when accompanying a paying adult or senior.

Frank Iturriaga, a Modified driver, sponsor and track benefactor, died last Dec. 15.
