Friesen Chevrolet Empire State Series is Brewerton bound on May 9

BREWERTON, N.Y. (May 7) – The Empire State Series runs for the first time under the Friesen Chevrolet banner this Friday, when touring IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds travel to Brewerton Speedway.

The May 9 feature pays $400 to win, a minimum of $75 to start and doubles as the Dean Hubbs Memorial. All applicable IMCA points will be awarded.

Pit gates and the grandstand both open at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m.

Spectator admission is $12 for adults and free for fans ages 18 and under. Pit passes are $27.

Central Square’s Dale Caswell won four of the first seven series events held at Brewerton, including three straight from 2008-2010.

James Cornell of Port Crane topped the April 13 series opener at Five Mile Point Speedway. The third of 10 events on the current tour schedule is Sunday, May 25 at Skyline Raceway.

Champion of the Friesen Chevrolet Empire State Series earns a $600 share of the increased $3,000 point fund.
