OSKALOOSA, Iowa – IMCA Late Models make their first appearance of the season at Southern Iowa Speedway on Wednesday, May 7.
Mach-1 Sport Compacts make their 2014 debut at Oskaloosa on the same program. IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks complete the program.
Wednesday’s show is sponsored by Van Wal Equipment, Bank Iowa and Vital Men. Bank Iowa will give all kids ages 10 and under a prize at intermission and two drivers have a chance to win a free pit pass.
Drivers of the night this Wednesday Brett Lowry and Todd Cooney this Wednesday and next Wednesday will be Danny Thrasher and A.J. Johnson.
“There’s no rain in the forecast and temperatures are predicted to reach almost 90 degrees,” promoter Mike Van Genderen said. “Fans can put away their raincoats and come out and watch some great racing at Southern Iowa Speedway.”
Other Late Model dates at Osky this season are May 14, May 21, July 15, July 16, July 30 and Aug. 20.
