WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (May 3) – A trio of IMCA drivers got their first wins of the 2014 season at 34 Raceway Saturday.

Jeff Waterman topped the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, John Oliver Jr. was first in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars main and Bobby Anders ruled the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods.
Waterman took the lead from the front row and pulled away from the rest of the Modified field. Tyler Glass got the best of Mitch Morris in the battle for second.

Oliver led the last nine circuits of the Stock Car feature. Shane Watts ran in front for eight laps and ended in second.

After holding off Tony Dunker much of the distance, Anders took the SportMod checkers ahead of Ryan Fullenkamp.

Other winners were Jayson Ditsworth in the 305 sprints, Austen Becerra in the 4-cylinders and Justin Buchholz in the mod lites.

A nice field of 112 cars checked in for the night’s racing action, topping last week’s 100 car count.
