More IMCA track champions receive awards as part of growing Axle Exchange program

DES MOINES, Iowa – Axle Exchange builds on an already high-profile program this season with awards for the growing number of IMCA track champions in five divisions.

The manufacturer of the Fast Shafts brand of drive shafts again gives $25 product certificates to the more than 360 drivers who will win local IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod or Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMod track titles in 2014.

Fast Shafts also returns to national decal programs for the Stock Cars, Northern SportMods and Southern SportMods.

Drivers in all three divisions must display two Fast Shafts decals on their race car to be eligible for point fund shares. Track champion product certificates and point fund checks will be presented during the national banquet in November, or be mailed beginning the following week from the IMCA home office.

Now in its 12th season as a marketing partner with IMCA, Axle Exchange also returns as sponsor of the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational and will furnish a portion of the purse paid to the 30 Modified starters in the Sept. 5 special during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

Each All-Star driver also receives a custom chrome moly drive shaft. Eighty-nine different drivers from 22 states and Canada have been elected to the All-Star field since the invitational’s inception in 2004.

“Winning a track championship is still the goal of nearly every IMCA racer and something that remains at the core of the Fast Shafts program,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “However, the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational is the most recognizable element to their partnership and showing up on more and more IMCA Modified drivers’ bucket lists. The 2013 race is still being talked about as one of the greatest races of all time.”
