King reigns over Eagle Sport Compacts

EAGLE, Neb. (April 26) – James King became a first-time winner in Saturday’s photo finish Sam’s Club IMCA Sport Compact main event at Eagle Raceway.

King had assumed the lead when Kurt Beckstrom exited with a flat tire on lap seven. Matt Moyer took over second with two laps left but came up just short in his bid to catch King.

Inching closer to the 100 career win mark, Jordan Grabouski led start to finish in the Kaplan University IMCA Modified headliner. Jason Martin got his second Mud In America IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Car victory in as many local starts this season.

R.J. Macku led all but the opening lap in winning the Valentino’s IMCA Hobby Stock feature. Jason Harms parlayed a restart into the lead and eventual victory in the NAPA IMCA SportMod main.
