Sweet steering box gains official IMCA designation

imca_fi_sweetKALAMAZOO, Mich. (March 14) – Sweet Manufacturing marks a pair of milestones as a marketing partner with IMCA in 2014.

The Kalamazoo, Mich., company has been designated as manufacturer of the “Official steering box of IMCA” in its fifth season of sponsorship.

Sweet will award steering boxes to champions in each of the five regions for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds.

Ten more steering boxes will be given to Modified competitors at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s and the Duel In The Desert.

Super Nationals recipients include the main event winner and front row starters, a longest tow qualifier, Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational and Harris Auto Racing Race of Champions winners, best appearing car winner and the top non-qualifier in points.

The winner of the Duel In the Desert main event also leaves Las Vegas with a steering box.

“The aftermarket Sweet steering box really dominates the IMCA Modified market and has earned the reputation as the official steering box,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “We’ll give over $10,000 worth of them away in 2014, and no one else even comes close to that sort of support with this product line.”

Product certificates will be presented during the national awards banquet in November or mailed beginning the following week from the IMCA home office.
