Beatrice Spring Nationals postponed to March 21, 22

Spring Nationals at Beatrice Speedway will now be Friday and Saturday, March 21 and 22. The 21st annual special had originally been scheduled for March 14-15

The rescheduled program sports five sanctioned divisions, headlined by IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds in $2,000 to win, minimum $200 to start Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying features both nights.

IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods both race for $500 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $400 to win each night. Minimum start money is $75.
Mach-1 Sport Compacts run for $200 to win on Saturday.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing national, re­gional and Allstar Performance state points will be given each night for the Modifieds, Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks. National and state points will be awarded to Northern SportMod and Sport Compact competitors.

Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. Friday, with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. On Saturday, gates open at 2:30 p.m., hot laps are at 5 p.m. and racing is at 6 p.m.

Pit passes are $25 each night. Grandstand admission is $14 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under. Both Spring Nationals programs will be broadcast live on XSAN.

Early entry fees for the Modifieds are now $120 if mailed by March 8 or $175 after that date; single night entry fee is $75. Stock Cars and SportMods pay an early entry fee of $30 per night if mailed by March 8, $50 if racing only one day and $60 a night if the entry fee is mailed after March 8.

Hobby Stocks pay an early entry fee of $20 per night if mailed by March 8, $40 if racing one day and $60 if the entry fee is mailed after March 8. Entry fee for the Sport Com­pacts is $10, or $20 after March 8.

An open practice session for all divisions runs from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, March 20. Pit passes are $10. Rain date is Sunday, March 23.

The Brent Drohman Classic at Thayer County Speedway in Deshler, to have been held March 21-22, has been postponed. No reschedule date has been announced.
