EQ Wild West Tour takes IMCA Modifieds to five tracks, four states

imca_fi_wildwestDELTA, Utah (Feb. 25) – A dozen dates for traveling IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds are on the schedule for the eighth annual EQ Cylinder Heads Wild West Tour.

Five tracks in four states host events. Sweetwater Speedway in Rock Springs, Wyo., will be the only track holding two Friday-Saturday doubleheaders.

Opening weekend is May 2 and 3 at Millard County Raceway in Delta, Utah. The first visit to Sweetwater follows on May 30 and 31.

The series returns to Utah and Diamond Mountain Speedway at Vernal for June 27 and 28 shows. Great Basin Raceway in Ely, Nev., is site of the July 25-26 doubleheader.

Next up are Aug. 22 and 23 dates at Atomic Motor Raceway in Atomic City, Idaho. The series concludes Sept. 12 and 13 at Sweetwater. The Tour Allstar race will also be held that weekend.

Ricky Alvarado of Delta, Colo., is the three-time and defending series champion.

All main events pay a minimum of $1,000 to win and are 2014 or 2015 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifiers.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Racing Western Region, Allstar Per­formance State and special series, as well as local track points where applicable, will be given.

National and regional bonus points will also be awarded to the champion.
