VINTON, Iowa – The Ricochet shock guard is legal for use in 2014 in both the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod divisions.
“We have previously allowed the front half of the shock to be shielded. This product gives racers the option to further protect the shaft of the shock from damage,” IMCA Vice President of Operations Brett Root said. “It satisfies the rule for shielding the shock while allowing for tech inspection.”
The shock guards were on display at the PRI show in Indianapolis last month.
