DODGE CITY, Kan. – With the 2013 racing season at Dodge City Raceway Park coming to a conclusion with the inaugural Jerry Soderberg Memorial on Sept. 28, all that remains is to distribute the hardware and point fund money to the track’s top competitors.
The Dodge City Raceway Park awards banquet is set for Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Knights of Columbus building at 800 West Frontview Street in Dodge City, Kan. Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m. and the awards ceremony to follow.
Tickets to the event are $25 per person and must be ordered no later than Oct. 28 to determine an accurate headcount. Tickets may be ordered by calling the Dodge City Raceway Park office at 620 225-3277, Gina Wilson at 620 339-9873 or Tommie Estes Jr. at 405 238-8485.
The top 10 in points in all five divisions (IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, United Wireless IMCA SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Poor Boy Kustomz Thunder Cars and Hornets) will all receive trophies, with top 10 drivers in the Modifieds, Sport Modifieds, Stock Cars and Thunder Cars receiving point fund money as well.
The 2013 season at Dodge City Raceway Park consisted of 17 nights of racing action over 13 different weekends, with Austin Allen (Modifieds), Jeff Kaup (SportMods), Billy Phelps (Stock Cars), Dustin Walker (Thunder Cars) and Jarett Lunow (Hornets) coming away with track championships.
