WACO, Texas – The winner’s share of the purse is $3,000 when Heart O’ Texas Speedway hosts the Southern SportMod Nationals set for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 6-7.
The feature for IMCA Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods pays a minimum of $200 to start. Non-qualifiers get $150. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded.
Entry fee is $50.
All Southern SportMod drivers who have won a sanctioned feature this season are eligible to qualify for Saturday’s 12-car All-Star field. That race pays $350 to win and a minimum of $50 to start.
Qualifying begins on Friday. The Sprint Series of Texas is also on the Saturday card.
Pit gates open at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 8 p.m. both nights. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, $3 for kids ages 6-11 and free for five and under. Pit passes are $25.
