BEATRICE, Neb. (Aug. 27) – Five IMCA divisions are on the Friday, Aug. 30 Nebraska State Championships card at Beatrice Speedway.
IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and a minimum of $100 to start their 2014 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods are in the running for $600 to win and a minimum of $75 to start.
IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars chase a $600 top prize and $50 to start. IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks run for $400 to win and $50 to start; Mach-1 Sport Compacts vie for $150 to win and $40 to start.
IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded. Numerous prizes will be given to competing drivers.
Pit passes are $25. Spectator admission is $12 for adults, $5 for kids and free for six and under. Gates open at 4 p.m., hot laps are at 6:45 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m.
The Nebraska State Championships are promoted by S & J Promotions and presented by Jet Racing. C-N-C Fireworks puts on the pyrotechnic display that follows the racing.
