Nelson Nabs Fifth Salute to Veterans Tour Victory in Hobby Stocks at Algona

By Greg Grabianowski ALGONA, Iowa (July 24, 2025) — The Salute to Veterans Tour rolled into Kossuth County Speedway for its biggest night of the season, and despite nearly two inches of rain in the previous 24 hours, track manager Kevin Long and his crew worked their magic to make the surface race-ready in just five hours. Dylan Nelson took advantage of the outside front row starting spot and led the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature from the start. A series of cautions slowed the action, including a lap five tangle between Parker Larson and Blake Luinenburg, and more yellows involving Brayden Fahmi and Trevor Iverson. Nelson continued to lead through each restart, with Skylar Pruitt staying within striking distance. The final caution flew with just two laps remaining due to debris in turn four, but it wasn’t enough to shake Nelson’s rhythm. He went on to capture his third Salute to Veterans Tour win in Algona and fifth overall in the series. The $1,000 payday also marked his first B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region victory [Read More]

Morgan Muscles to Victory at Outlaw in Series Return to Dundee

By Michael Benjamin DUNDEE, N.Y. (July 25, 2025) — It had been five years since the Close Racing Supply NY/Penn IMCA Modified Series presented by Insinger Performance last visited Outlaw Speedway, but Rodney Morgan made sure the wait was worth it. Morgan earned his first DeVilbiss Racing Eastern Region victory of 2025 with a commanding performance in Friday night’s 25-lap main event. A stout field of 22 Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds filled the pit area for the long-awaited return to the “Baddest Dirt Track on the Planet.” Brad Delamater took the initial lead from the pole and paced the first six laps. A lap four caution for Matt Roberts bunched the field after Roberts made contact with the backstretch wall in a wild three-wide battle for third. On the restart, Morgan found his line and charged past Delamater on lap seven. From there, he set sail, leading the rest of the way to claim the $1,510.10 payday. Keith Lamphere and Tyler Belcher completed the podium in second and third, respectively.

Rodney Morgan Rules the Bullring to Win Sean Lias Memorial at Woodhull

By Michael Benjamin WOODHULL, N.Y. (July 26, 2025) — Rodney Morgan made it a weekend to remember by capturing his second win in as many nights during the 5th Annual Sean Lias Memorial Race at Woodhull Raceway. The victory marked Morgan’s second win of the current campaign in the DeVilbiss Racing Eastern Region. Seventeen Friesen Performance IMCA Modified drivers signed in for the Saturday night program at the Bullring, with the feature doubling as a points race for Woodhull regulars. Shawn Bruce and Earl Zimmer led the field to the green for the 25-lap main presented by Chasin Dreams Transport and Lubic Sales and Marketing. Zimmer led the opening three laps before Morgan made his move and powered into the top spot on lap four. The event’s rhythm was interrupted by rain on lap 13, forcing officials to halt the race while the passing shower moved through. Once racing resumed, Morgan left no doubt, holding strong to the checkers. Zimmer held on for second while Bruce crossed the line in third.
