(2023) – The Karl Companies mark two anniversaries of IMCA support this season, capping off that celebration on the biggest stage in all of dirt track racing.

Karl Chevrolet, the Midwest’s number one Chevrolet and GM Certified Dealer, and Karl Kustoms, the Midwest’s high performance parts manufacturer and distributor designated as the Preferred Engine Supplier of IMCA Racing, are in their 25th season of IMCA sponsorship.

And for the 10th consecutive year, they’ll present crate engines to Modified, Northern SportMod and Hobby Stock champions crowned on Saturday night, Sept. 9 at the 41st annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

The Modified champion takes home a 604 crate, the Northern SportMod and Hobby Stock champions both 602 crates.

"Carl's passion has always been in racing and we are happy to be a part of IMCA racing for another year awarding crate engines to the Super Nationals Champions as well as being recognized as the Preferred Engine Supplier of IMCA Racing,” said Marketing Director Clint Quesinberry. “Carl has always been dedicated to the racer and we do our best to help provide the best customer service to help get these racers in victory lane as well as provide them with any of their automotive needs through any of our growing businesses."

Drivers winning Super Nationals championships and accompanying crate engines last September were Tom Berry Jr. in the Modifieds, Matt Looft in the Northern SportMods and Zach Olmstead in the Hobby Stocks.

“The Karl Companies have gone above and beyond in their supporters of IMCA and IMCA drivers for a quarter of a century,” observed IMCA Marketing Integration and Sponsorship Director Carson Becker-Gramm. “Karl awarded its first crate engine at Super Nationals in 2011 and gave crates to Modified, Northern SportMod and Hobby Stock champions for the first time in 2014.”

“Fittingly, three drivers racing to one of the biggest accomplishments in IMCA will be rewarded again this September.”
