(2023) – Jet Racing, The Specialist in Building Championship Race Cars, returns for a 12th consecutive season as title sponsor of IMCA’s Central Region for Modifieds.

The Beatrice, Neb., chassis manufacturer and high performance parts retailer, an IMCA marketing partner since 1998, again provides a portion of the $6,000 point fund to be paid to top 10 drivers in the region including tracks in Arkansas, eastern Colorado, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.

Champion of the Jet Racing Central Region earns $2,500 with the runner-up receiving $1,250 and $625 paid for third, $325 for fourth, $300 for fifth and $200 for each of sixth through 10th places.

“We are proud to be able to reward Central Region drivers for their season-long accomplishments,” said Jet Racing owner Johnny Saathoff, a four-time national champion and the winner of more than 350 feature races during his own Friesen Performance IMCA Modified career. “We have enjoyed being part of many championship race teams over the years and look forward to doing so again in 2023.”

Jet Racing also builds Northern SportMod, Stock Car, Hobby Stock and Sport Compact chassis and sells a wide range of high performance parts and accessories. The latest of eight national championship winning rides to roll off the line at Jet took Dillon Richards to the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock title in 2022.

Jet Racing had sponsored special events and then Stock Car and Hobby Stock regions before becoming the Modified Central Region title sponsor in 2012.

“Johnny Saathoff and Jet Racing are among the longest tenured IMCA sponsors at 26 years, and for good reason,” said Carson Becker-Gramm, marketing integration and sponsorship director for the sanctioning body. “Johnny has played a major role in IMCA Modified racing and Jet Racing has become equally synonymous with IMCA and our Central Region,”

Central Region drivers are again required to display two Jet Racing logos on their race car to be eligible for point fund shares.
