CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Performance Bodies continues its long association with IMCA in 2019 by renewing a program of awards totaling nearly $25,000.
The Cedar Falls, Iowa, high performance automotive parts distributor and race car body manufacturer is in its 37th year as an IMCA sponsor and gives post-season awards to competitors in seven divisions.
“Performance Bodies is proud to be a sponsor of IMCA for over 37 years,” said company owner Scott Braun. “We are honored to be involved with a program that gives back to the racers. We look forward to many more years of partnership with IMCA and the racing community.”
An MD3 Mod valance and rocker panel kit or spruce-up special go to second through seventh place drivers in point standings and second, third and fourth place finishers in rookie standings in each of the five Modified regions; and to second through sixth place finishers in national points and runners-up in rookie of the year standings for the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods.
Top 10 finishers and 15th and 20th place drivers in both IMCA Sunoco Stock Car and both IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock regions, and national rookies of the year in IMCA Late Model, Stock Car and Hobby Stock divisions receive nosepiece and headlight decal kits.
Top five drivers in the Deery Brothers Summer Series receive an MD3 Late Model nose, a pair of molded dirt fenders, headlight kit and valance package.
Gift cards for $100, $50 and $50, respectively, go to the top three drivers in national Mach-1 Sport Compact point standings.
Performance Bodies also returns to national decal programs for both the IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock divisions and drivers in both divisions must display two Performance Bodies decals on their race car to be eligible for point fund shares.
All awards will be presented during the IMCA national banquet in November or mailed beginning the following week from the IMCA home office.

“One of my favorite parts of the program are the awards going to the second through fourth place finishers in rookie point standings,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “Performance Bodies does an outstanding job of recognizing the accomplishments of drivers who may not achieve a certain level of accomplishment, but their determination and drive to succeed equals those of a champion.”
“We couldn’t be prouder to have forged a relationship with Scott and his team at Performance Bodies that has lasted nearly four decades,” he continued.
