
Hamilton Breaks Through in Modifieds at Hutchinson

(Jun. 20, 2025) — William Nusser and Tim Hamilton each won their Friesen Performance IMCA Modified heat races earlier in the night at SaltCity Racing, held on the historic Kansas State Fairgrounds oval on Friday night. That set them up to share the front row for the main event, with Hamilton drawing the pole. Hamilton grabbed the lead at the drop of the green and immediately distanced himself from a fierce battle for second, where Nusser, Peyton Burkhart, and Jake Nightingale traded positions throughout the contest. Lapped traffic in the final five laps didn’t faze Hamilton, who shook off recent bad luck and drove his brand-new race car to victory lane Night number five on the new car proved to be the lucky one for the Lindsay, Oklahoma driver, who made the switch from the Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods to the Modified division in 2022.
