QA1 continues awards for six divisions in 25th season as IMCA sponsor

LAKEVILLE, Minn. (May 24, 2023) – QA1 marks a quarter century of IMCA sponsorship this season, continuing awards for drivers in six IMCA divisions. The Lakeville, Minn., high performance suspension parts and driveline manufacturer gives $250 product certificates to Friesen Performance IMCA Modified, IMCA Sunoco Late Model, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod and Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMod national champions. $150 gift certificates go to fifth place drivers and $100 certificates to 10th place finishers in national standings for those divisions. The Late Model national champ also receives a carbon fiber driveshaft. And 11 $200 product certificates will be awarded to Modified, Stock Car, Hobby Stock and SportMod drivers competing with QA1shocks and selected at random. LAKEVILLE, Minn. – QA1 rewards the on-track success of IMCA drivers in six divisions again this year. The Lakeville, Minn., high performance suspension parts and driveline manufacturer gives more than $5,000 in product certificates in its 23rd sponsorship season QA1 awards $250 product certificates to IMCA Modified, IMCA Sunoco Late Model, IMCA Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMod national champions. The Late Model national champion also receives a carbon fiber driveshaft while $150 gift certificates go to fifth place drivers and $100 certificates to 10th place finishers in national standings for the six divisions. Westergard Prevails Late in Skagit Season Opener

(Apr. 26, 2025) — Jeff Westergard kicked off the 2025 Friesen Performance IMCA Modified campaign at Skagit Speedway in style, overcoming early traffic and late-race pressure to earn his first Shaw Race Cars Western Region victory of the season. Adam Holtrop jumped to the early lead in the 25-lap main event before a flurry of mid-pack battles began to unfold. On a restart, Vancouver Island’s Geoff Morris, the 2023 Skagit Speedway track champion, powered into second before being shuffled back by James Bundy and Westergard. Bundy closed on Holtrop before a lap eight caution slowed the field. On the ensuing restart, Morris flipped in a multi-car tangle in turn four, bringing out the red flag. Westergard capitalized on the next restart, moving into second and then methodically pressuring Holtrop over several laps. Davenport Speedway Fills Need For Speed in The Month of May

By Mike McGuire DAVENPORT, Iowa (Apr. 30, 2025) – From the Kentucky Derby to the Indianapolis 500, the month of May has been associated with racing and speed for more than one hundred years. The Davenport Speedway, under the direction of SR Promotions, continues this great tradition. Five events are planned for the racetrack at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds in the month of May. Weekly racing action tops the agenda on Friday, May 2nd. In addition to the five every week classes, the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites will make their second appearance of the season. The chase for the 2025 track championships continues on Friday, May 16th, as we reach the one-third mark of the season. All weekly classes will be in action, as will the IMCA Mod Lites. Deschamp Shines in Stock Car Thriller at Nodak Speedway

(Apr. 27, 2025) — Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars took center stage at Nodak Speedway’s season opener, and the 3/8-mile “Playground of Power” delivered thrilling side-by-side action on a crisp Sunday evening. Chris Tuchscherer, the 2005 Williston Basin Stock Car champion and double-duty driver for the night, grabbed the early lead. However, two-time defending track champion Will Scheresky found a way around him by lap 4 and began pulling away before a caution slowed the field on the fifth circuit. On the restart, Gabe Deschamp — fresh off a win at Marshalltown’s Frostbuster earlier in the month — tracked down Scheresky and completed a bold move on the inside to take command on lap 6. The two would battle fiercely until another yellow interrupted the action. Deschamp nailed the restart and continued his dominance, but Mike Hagen soon emerged as a threat.
