Emerson, Harcrow, Smith win HO’T features, All Star Shootout titles to Pirkle, Abbey, Geurin

WACO, Texas (May 29, 2022) – Three drivers won features and three drivers won championships on the final night of the IMCA All Star Shootout Sunday at Heart O’ Texas Speedway.  Jeff Emerson earned $1,000 and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility for his Friesen Performance IMCA Modified win while Markiss Harcrow collected $750 and became B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligible for his IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers. Cody Smith was also a $750 winner, in the Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMod main. Jacob Pirkle ran eighth in repeating as the Shootout Modified champion. Stock Car champion Jeffrey Abbey was sixth and Southern SportMod champion Brandon Geurin eighth in their respective finales at Waco.  A regular visitor to HO’T with the Texas Sprint Series, Emerson got to watch son Kaleb finish fourth in the SportMod feature before taking his turn on the track. Opening night moves to Thursday for IMCA All Star Shootout

ARDMORE, Okla. (May 25, 2022) – Rain had the final word and resulted in rescheduling opening night of the IMCA All Star Shootout.  The lidlifter for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods moves to Thursday, May 26 at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore. The event originally scheduled that evening at Grayson County Speedway has been canceled. The Shootout is at Texas speedplants Boyd Raceway on Friday, May 27; at Kennedale Speedway Park on Saturday, May 28; and at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco on Sunday, May 29.  Modifieds run for $1,000 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star qualifying eligibility each night. Night of firsts in Lone Star Tour opener ends with Meier’s first IMCA Stock Car win at HO’T

WACO, Texas (Feb. 20, 2022) – A night of firsts ended with Mitch Meier in victory lane.  Meier led all 25 laps of the opening night main event in the Sniper Speed IMCA Lone Star Stock Car Tour Sunday at Heart O’ Texas Speedway.  The $1,000 victory was Meier’s IMCA Sunoco Stock Car career first and also came in his first start in a new Ultimate Race Car. Damon Murty ran second from lap eight to the finish of the 25-lapper, trying every lane on the track to get past but ultimately settling for runner-up points and pay.  “It was an awesome win. There were a lot of good drivers here tonight and it was pretty cool being able to hold off Damon. Gould, Scrivner, Hanson hoist hardware at Heart O’ Texas Speedway Fall Classic

WACO, Texas (Oct. 23) – Another big race at Heart O’ Texas Speedway brought out the best in William Gould. The 24th annual Fall Classic saw Robert Scrivner and Lance Hanson impress, too. All three were $2,000 feature winners Saturday night, Gould in the IMCA Modifieds, Scrivner in the Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods and Hanson in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. The recently crowned Razor Chassis South Central Region champion Gould had won the All Star Shootout fueled by Fast Shafts main event at HO’T in May and led green to checkered of the 2021 season finale.  “The track was black from top to bottom and start to finish I was in the right place at the right time,” said Gould, newly eligible for the 2022 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. “I led going into turn one and kept the car going where it needed to.”  Kevin Green, J.P. IMCA Stock Cars chase $5,000 at July 2, 3 Heart O’ Texas Baby Blue Harcrow Memorial

WACO, Texas – The IMCA Sunoco Stock Car winner at Heart O’ Texas Speedway’s pre-holiday Baby Blue Harcrow Memorial will go home with plenty of green.  The final race of the Friday, July 2 and Saturday, July 3 special pays $5,000 to win, with a guaranteed starting spot in the B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at stake as well.  Runner-up money is $2,500 with $1,500 paid for third and $1,000 for fourth. Total purse for the main event is more than $17,000 and starting the 24-car headliner pays a minimum of $300.  All drivers will run two qualifying heats on opening night, with the top 20 in passing points advancing to a feature and the top five from that race advancing to the Saturday show. Oklahoma, Texas dates set for IMCA Allstar Shootout

ARDMORE, Okla. – Five nights of racing leading up to Memorial Day will prove memorable for Allstar drivers in three IMCA divisions. The inaugural Allstar Shootout fueled by Fast Shafts features IMCA Modifieds running for $1,000 to win, potential bonuses of $500 to as much as $3,000 and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berths May 26-30. Green makes good on pre-race promise to make a show of it at Jack Bagby Memorial

WACO, Texas (March 5) ­­– Recognizing the tall task he faced, Kevin Green promised to make a show of it before lining up ninth on the IMCA Modified grid at Heart O’ Texas Speedway’s season-opening Jack Bagby Memorial. Then he made good on that promise, earning $1,000 and a spot of the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot along with the Friday night checkers. “We ran around the bottom a couple laps, then moved to the top and started passing some cars,” Green said. “We had drawn good for the heat, then went out and drew ninth for the feature.
