Baldwin Completes First CST Weekend Sweep in Three Years at Harris Speedway

(May 9, 2026) — The Carolina Sprint Tour presented by GSR Chassis rolled into Harris Speedway on Saturday night with another strong group of RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars in the pit area. Despite several teams battling mechanical issues from the previous evening, the field was ready for another exciting night of racing under the North Carolina lights. Kicking off the evening in Radical Race Gear Hot Laps was Friday night winner Dillan Baldwin of Taylorsville, Kentucky. Baldwin continued his momentum by setting quick time with a lap of 14.274 seconds aboard the familiar 67B machine. Heat race competition saw Steve Diamond Jr. of Brooksville, Florida charge to victory in heat one, while U.S. Air Force active-duty member Derrek Treece of Sumter, South Carolina claimed the second heat. Shantz Dominates at Harris Speedway for Second Career Carolina Sprint Tour Win

By Evan McCrory RUTHERFORDTON, N.C. (May 17, 2025) — The Carolina Sprint Tour presented by GSR Chassis rolled into Harris Speedway on Saturday night, for a spectacular night of open-wheel action. Despite losing a few entries from the previous night at Carolina Speedway, a strong field of 15 RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars put on an incredible show under the lights of Rutherford County. After the redraw, it was Biscuit Williams and Josh Shantz on the front row for the 25-lap main event. When the green flag dropped, Shantz, a former Canadian now racing out of the Carolinas, jumped to the lead and never looked back. In the caution-free feature, Shantz expertly fended off heavy pressure from George Loux to capture his second career Carolina Sprint Tour win. Ferrando Dominates Douglas County Modified Feature

(May 15, 2026) — Grey Ferrando put together a commanding performance in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature at the Douglas County Dirtrack, collecting his third DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region victory of the season in the 25-lap, $1,000-to-win main event and his first triumph of 2026 at the Roseburg 3/10-mile oval. Brett Muth led the opening lap before a caution quickly slowed the pace. On the restart, Ferrando charged from fourth and was battling for the lead within a couple of circuits. By lap three, the 2017 Cottage Grove Speedway champion had officially taken command. Another caution on lap four reset the field, but Ferrando was flawless on the restart and immediately began pulling away from the competition. Stanford Scores Popular Hobby Stock Triumph at CJ Speedway

By Jerry Mackey COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa (May 15, 2026) — The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks provided the most thrilling action of the night Friday at CJ Speedway, with Wapello’s Bill Stanford finally breaking through for his first victory of the season. Known by fans as “Mr. Excitement,” Stanford found victory lane after a wild feature that saw competitors pushing the racing groove to the extreme high side, with several drivers hanging right-side tires over the levee. The race was red flagged when Dalton Weepie exited the racing surface in turn one and slid over the top of the levee. The closing laps featured a thrilling duel between Stanford and graduating high school senior Brayden Wood. Stanford held on at the line to earn his first B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region triumph of 2026. Wood settled for second while early leader Ryan Havel crossed the stripe third.
