Kay makes it five straight Deery Series wins at Cedar County

TIPTON, Iowa (April 20) – Another Deery Brothers Summer Series event at Cedar County Raceway ended with another feature win for Justin Kay. Kay won his fifth consecutive IMCA Late Model tour main event at Tipton Saturday night, earning $2,000. The victory was the career 28th for the three-time and defending series champion, now the first driver to win five consecutive Deery events at the same track. “There’s just something about Cedar County,” Kay said of the track he started racing at and where he won the only 4-cylinder track title of his career. “I love racing there.” The 491st event in Deery Series history saw Kay motor from sixth starting to second, then pass pole starter Andy Eckrich on the 13th of 50 circuits. Deery Series returns to Cedar County Raceway for opening night

TIPTON, Iowa – The Deery Brothers Summer Series returns to Cedar County Raceway for another opening night show this Saturday. The April 20 event marks the second time in as many years that the IMCA Late Model tour has started its season at Tipton, where defending champion Justin Kay of Wheatland has won the last four series events. That equals a feat accomplished by just one other driver through the series’ first 32 years. Mark Burgtorf of Quincy, Ill., won four straight Deery features at Lee County Speedway from 1998-2000. Saturday’s feature pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow. Maquoketa, Dubuque Deery events postponed

MAQUOKETA, Iowa (April 13) – Forecasts calling for less than pleasant temperatures Saturday and Sunday have resulted in postponements of Deery Brothers Summer Series events at Maquoketa Speedway and at Dubuque Speedway. Both IMCA Late Model tour events are to be rescheduled. The 33rd annual Deery Series now opens at Cedar County Raceway in Tipton with a $2,000 to win, minimum $300 to start main event next Saturday, April 20. Williamson Unstoppable in Modified Midweek Mayhem at Cottage Grove

(Aug. 13, 2025) — Jesse Williamson dominated Wednesday’s Friesen Performance IMCA Modified 25-lap feature at Cottage Grove Speedway, scoring his second Shaw Race Cars Western Region victory of 2025. Both wins have come at CGS for the Coburg driver, a multi-time IMCA Wild West Speedweek champion and pilot of the SDMF Customs no. W5 house car. Williamson jumped to the lead at the drop of the green and dealt with slower traffic as early as lap eight. The lone caution waved on lap nine, setting up a slider attempt from defending series and five-time reigning track champion Jake Mayden going into turn one. Beast of the East Showdown Brings Four Nights of Mod Lite Action to New York Tracks August 15–18

By Ben Deatherage VINTON, Iowa (Aug. 14, 2025) — The second annual Beast of the East Showdown is just around the corner, and Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite race fans are in for an unforgettable stretch of four races in four nights at some of New York’s premier dirt tracks. The action begins Friday, August 15 at Brewerton Speedway, continues Saturday, August 16 at Fulton Speedway, then heads to Weedsport Speedway on Sunday, August 17, before wrapping up back at Brewerton on Monday, August 18. Each night offers a $1,500-to-win main event. The first three nights will award National and New York State points, with timed hot laps setting the stage for heat races and the heat race finishes determining the lineup for the features.
