35th Annual Harris Clash Returns to Iowa’s Action Track June 23

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (May 15, 2026) — One of the most prestigious and longest-running traditions in IMCA racing returns to Iowa’s Action Track on Tuesday, June 23, as the 35th Annual Harris Clash brings another loaded night of competition to Boone Speedway. Created by Bob Harris in 1992, the Harris Clash remains IMCA’s longest-running single-day special event and continues to be one of the marquee summer showcases for Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, and Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods. The 2025 edition marked the first time the event had been held in Iowa since 2017 and the first appearance at Boone Speedway since 1994. It also featured the debut of Stock Cars on the Harris Clash program. The response was massive. A total of 231 entries competed last season, including 81 Stock Cars, 79 Modifieds, and 71 Northern SportMods. “I was very impressed last year,” said event founder Bob Harris. “The car count was unreal and it was just a good show that went off smoothly with no hitches.
