Nick Tucker Conquers Chaos at Carolina Speedway

By Evan McCrory GASTONIA, N.C. (May 16, 2025) — The Carolina Sprint Tour presented by GSR Chassis brought high horsepower and heart-pounding action to the red clay of Carolina Speedway on Friday night. With temperatures hovering at a warm 86 degrees, the atmosphere was electric, and the fans were treated to a wild night of sprint car racing that saw Nick Tucker of Spanaway, Washington, take the win in dramatic fashion. After the redraw, Jeff Oliver started from the pole position alongside Josh Shantz. The initial green flag didn’t last long, as Gareth Palmer spun in turn one, prompting a complete restart. On the second attempt, Oliver jumped out to an early lead while fending off pressure from Shantz. Things quickly escalated on lap five when Ben McCall struck debris on the front stretch and was hit from behind by Jason Gulledge, who flipped into turn one. The red flag flew, but thankfully both drivers were okay. After the restart, Oliver again set the pace with a pack of challengers forming behind him. On lap nine, [Read More]

Hogge Scores 80th Career Antioch Win

By Candice Martin  ANTIOCH, Calif. (May 17, 2025) – Bobby Hogge of Salinas won the 25 lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified finale Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. It was also the 80th career Antioch win for Hogge, putting him on top of the track’s all-time combined main event winner’s leader board.  Jonathan Hagio led the first two laps before Hogge found a way by for the lead. A yellow flag waved for Jacob Mallet Jr. on the back straightaway on lap seven. Hogge continued to lead with Cody Burke moving into second, but a yellow flag waved again on lap eight. On this restart, incoming point leader Troy Foulger moved into second behind Hogge.  Another yellow flag waved for a turn four tangle on lap nine, but Hogge maintained command ahead of Foulger and Josh Combs of Roseville on the restart. The final 15 laps saw a pair of yellow flags, but each time Hogge pulled ahead of Foulger to maintain the lead and win his fourth in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region this [Read More]

Heffner Takes Hagerstown Win

By Frank Buhrman HAGERSTOWN, Md. (May 17, 2025) — Kenny Heffner wasn’t going to let this one get away. Last month at Selinsgrove Speedway, the Watsontown veteran led a good part of the feature only to be passed by Doug Dodson for the win. At Hagerstown Speedway Saturday, there were challenges, but the driver of Cale Reigle’s no. 97 mount wasn’t going to be denied his seventh career trip to the River Valley Builders PA Sprint Series victory lane. The co-sanctioned event with the Virginia Sprint Series and Laurel Highlands Sprint Series also happened to be the middle race in the three-event BrokersRealty.com Speed Weekend for the RaceSaver IMCA Sprints, which put Heffner in a good position to claim the $750 bonus to the top team in points after Sunday’s final event at BAPS Motor Speedway. It was Heffner’s front-row challenger, Mike Koehler, who grabbed the initial lead in the 25-lap feature, but only after an earlier start attempt was called off after eighth-starting Mike Melair got into the second turn wall, spun, and collected Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series [Read More]
