Pounds Powers to Bakersfield Modified Win

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (May 2, 2026) — Bakersfield’s Brad Pounds advanced from the fourth starting position to capture the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature Saturday at Bakersfield Speedway at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway. Pounds worked his way to the front and went on to secure his first win of the season in the DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region. Tyler Bannister gained five positions to finish second, while pole sitter Markus Frazier held on for third. Bryan Clark and Brad Watkins completed the top five. Ethan Johnson, also of Bakersfield, scored his first career win in Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod competition with a strong drive from third. Nicholas Johnson made an impressive run from 10th to finish second, while Matthew Frazier advanced from ninth to third. Adam Baker earned hard charger honors, rallying from 15th to fourth, and Sunnie Simkins rounded out the top five. Logue’s Last-Lap Pass and Gustin’s Three-Peat Highlight Boone Stock Car Wins

By Jane Burd BOONE, Iowa (May 2, 2026) — A packed night of racing at Boone Speedway delivered multiple features and standout performances across several Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly divisions, highlighted by a dramatic late-race move in Sunoco IMCA Stock Car action. The second Stock Car feature proved to be the race of the night, as Johnathon Logue of Logansport charged from fifth and made a last-lap pass at the line to steal the win from Garrett Corn, who had led nearly the entire distance. The two drivers, both campaigning Rage chassis in 2026, brought the crowd to its feet in a thrilling finish. Matthew Meinecke completed the podium in third, followed by David Smith and Hunter Smith. Clem Charges to Cliff Chambers Memorial Mod Lite Victory at Marshalltown

By Kaden Krebs MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (May 1, 2026) — The IMCA Mod Lites kicked off the night at the Cliff Chambers Memorial at Marshalltown Speedway with an impressive drive from Riley Clem. The Bakersfield, California driver started mid-pack and methodically worked his way to the front to earn his fifth win of the year at four different tracks in three different states—and his first victory of the season at Marshalltown. Dillon Raffurty advanced from ninth to finish second, while Austin Gray completed the podium. Bryan Zehm was fourth, followed by Josh May. One of the biggest moments of the night belonged to Kael Koch, who captured his first MoTown victory in the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks.
