Ambitious 18-race slate for Sprint Series of Oklahoma
By David Smith Jr. OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The sophomore season for the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Series of Oklahoma boasts an ambitious 18-race schedule that will see eight different tracks in three states host at least one SSO event in 2017. The season will kick off Saturday, March 25, in the first of six appearances at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore. Longdale Speedway will again host an SSO event and be joined by the Kansas-based United Rebel Sprint Series (URSS) on Saturday, April 1. Wichita Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas, will play host to two series events. The track is under new ownership this year and will be promoted by former sprint car driver Kathryne Minter. Another track that has undergone a name and ownership change over the off-season is Red Dirt Raceway.
