


IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car sanction new this season at Crawford County
DENISON, Iowa – Crawford County Speedway will crown its first IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car champion this season. Eight dates for the winged class are scheduled on Fridays at Denison, beginning April 24 when the Sprint Series of Nebraska comes to town for opening night of the Spring Fling special. The Sprints are also on May 8 and 22, June 5 and 19 and July 10, 17 and 31 programs. “Iowa is the heart of Sprint Car racing. United Rebel Sprint Series opening weekend at RPM’s Classic Weekend
By David Smith, Jr., OKTidbits PR HAYS, Kansas – The 15th consecutive season for the Lucas Oil POWRi United Rebel Sprint Series presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing kicks off in just three-short weeks as the tour will head to RPM Speedway in Hays, Kan., for a weekend doubleheader. Set for Friday and Saturday, March 27-28, the annual Mike Hughes Sunflower Classic Memorial presented by Nutrien Ag Solutions will see both night shows paying $1,000 to win. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, E3 Spark Plugs Kansas State and series points will be awarded. Opening night for IMCA Modifieds is Saturday at Perris

Spectator gates will open at 5 p.m. and the first race will get the green flag at 7 p.m. In addition to the racing, at intermission the track’s cross over gates will open and the drivers will park their cars on the front straightaway to pass out free candy to the kids in attendance. Saturday’s opener includes the debut of Norco High School senior Alyssa Smith in the IMCA Modified division. IMCA Sport Compacts are new to Saturday shows at Oregon’s Cottage Grove Speedway
COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. – IMCA Mach-Sport Compacts have their first weekly home in the Pacific Northwest with the new sanction at Cottage Grove Speedway. Wood, Martin score Sprint Series of Oklahoma opening weekend wins
MEEKER, Okla. (March 7-8) – Danny Wood ran his winning streak to three before Jason Martin started a streak of his own during opening weekend action for the Sprint Series of Oklahoma. Wood topped Saturday’s main event for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars at Red Dirt Raceway, taking the lead just before midway in the 20-lapper. And under gray Sunday skies, Martin motored from eighth on the initial grid to catch Wood for the lead in heavy traffic on the 10th of 25 circuit.
