Super Nationals Stock Car champion earns Midstate Machine built engine

BOONE, Iowa – Midstate Machine builds the engine that goes home with the Stock Car champion crowned at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Ca­sey’s. IMCA and event sponsors will contribute parts. Midstate Machine of Des Moines again donates the labor to award to the winner of the Sept. 11 main event at Boone Speedway. “It’s cool that they get an engine,” said Midstate’s John Davis. “We’re glad to be part of this.”  Contributing parts are Speedway Motors, EQ Cylinder Heads, Edelbrock, Kevko, JE Pistons, Champ Pans, Summit, Comp Cams, Manley and PBM. IMCA Modifieds, Northern SportMods join Weekend Bash card at Davenport

DAVENPORT, Iowa – A pair of $1,000 to win features for IMCA Modifieds are on Thursday, Aug. 26 and Friday, Aug. 27 Weekend Bash race programs at Davenport Speedway. Winners of both events become eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational, with a minimum of $100 paid to start and $75 tow.  Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods also race both nights, for $750 to win, a minimum of $75 to start and $50 tow.  IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central Region and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded both nights. Pit gates open at 2 p.m. and the grandstand at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing to follow.  Pit passes are $35 on Thursday and $40 on Friday. Adult grandstand admission is $30 on Thursday and $35 on Friday. Kids ages 12 and under get in free.

BOYD, Texas – IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $750 to win and B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility this Friday at Boyd Raceway. IMCA Modifieds, Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts round out the Aug. 20 card. Gates open at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 8 p.m. Pit passes are $35 and adult grandstand admission is $18.

Missouri transplant Cochrun eyes STARS Mod Lite debut at IMCA Super Nationals

RIDGEWAY, Mo. – As a spectator at Boone Speedway last September, Kaden Cochrun watched other drivers compete on IMCA’s biggest stage. As a first-time competitor this year, he hopes to be standing on the stage at the 39th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.  The California native and now Ridgeway, Mo., transplant will be among the contenders for the first-ever IMCA STARS Mod Lite championship at Super Nationals.  “I already know how big this race is. There are going to be a lot of good drivers there and any one of them could win it,” said Cochrun, who turned 18 in early August. “It would be pretty cool if I could be the first Mod Lite Super Nationals champion. BOONE, Iowa – Drivers competing at the 39th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s take home more than $8,000 in cash bonuses and lap money. Local businesses and IMCA sponsors have anted up bonuses and lap money to be paid during the Sept. 6-11 Super Nationals at Boone Speedway, guaranteed to be the biggest and richest dirt track event of the season.      Quick Performance gives $100 bonuses to the winners of three qualifying features for Hobby Stocks, three qualifying features for Northern SportMods and six Stock Car qualifying features. Super Nationals Modified, Hobby, SportMod champions earn Karl Kustoms crate engines

BOONE, Iowa – Three of the champions crowned at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s celebrate their accomplishments with new crate engines.  Karl Kustoms presents a new GM 604 crate engine to the Modified champion and new GM 602 crate engines to Hobby Stock and Northern SportMod champions on Saturday, Sept. 11 in the infield at Boone Speedway. MERCED, Calif. – Three IMCA divisions are on the card this weekend for Merced Speedway’s Ed Parker Memorial. IMCA Modifieds, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars top Friday, Aug. 20 and Saturday, Aug. 21 programs. Regular weekly purse will be paid on Friday. Top prize in both Modified and Northern SportMod features on Saturday is $1,028 with the Modified winner becoming eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational during the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Willamette IMCA Stock Car special sports $5,000 top prize

LEBANON, Ore. – IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for $5,000 to win and a starting spot on the B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational grid Saturday, Aug. 21 at Willamette Speedway.  The inaugural special is sponsored by AAMCO and the $80 entry fee includes the driver’s pit pass. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, KMJ Performance Oregon State and track points will be awarded.  Also on the card that evening is a $1,500 to win, Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying event for IMCA Modifieds.  Pit gates and the grandstand open at 2 p.m. Hot laps are at 4:30 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. Pit passes are $40. Spectator admission is $14 for adults, $10 for seniors and kids, and free for youngsters ages five and under. The event will be broadcast by SPEED SPORT.TV affiliate Dirt Oval TV.  Practice on Friday, Aug. 20 runs from 4 p.m. to dusk.

Qualifying format announced for STARS Mod Lites

BOONE, Iowa – STARS Mod Lites will start 30 cars in their $2,000 to win main event at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.  The division makes its Super Nationals qualifying debut on opening night of the Prelude Sept. 4 at Boone Speedway and 10 cars will advance to the inside and to the middle rows through the planned two feature format on Saturday night.  The outside row of 10 cars for the Sunday, Sept. 5 main event will be determined with a format based on car count. Both programs will be draw/redraw and drivers who are unable to compete at Boone Speedway on Saturday have the opportunity to qualify on Sunday.
