The Friday, July 2 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier is 30 laps and pays a minimum of $125 to start, with $1,250 in lap money and leader bonuses to be awarded and random drawings, including a certificate for 50 percent off a Velocita firesuit, held as well. Conn wins Red Dirt Raceway’s Mike Peters Classic

(June 25) – Tanner Conn took advantage of his outside front row starting position to win the 40-lap AmeriFlex/Oil Capital Racing Series 40-lap Mike Peters Classic Friday at Red Dirt Raceway. It was Conn’s first career victory with the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car Series and he became the seventh different OCRS winner of the 2021 season. It took Conn two laps to get past pole sitter Brandon Jennings. Once out front, Conn led the remaining 38 laps. Joe Wood Jr. started sixth and raced his way into second on lap 32 but could not catch Conn. Joe Bob Lee, who started 15th after transferring from the ‘B’ main, moved into third on the final lap. Eddie Sites tops podium at The Hill

Gary Lamphere took over the lead position on lap four, with Eddie Sites tucked up tight to Lamphere’s bumper. Sites took command on the next circuit, and fought off multiple challenges from Rodney Morgan, who was driving the Rick Watt number 99 this week. Portland, Mich.’s Jeff Reay, who won at Tri City Motor Speedway last Friday. and backed it up with a win in the Eastern IMCA All Stars at Thunderbird Raceway on Wednesday, was on the move from 10th starting position, and took over second on the 17th lap. Festive July 4 set for Benton County Speedway

VINTON, Iowa – With both attempts at holding the Benton County Fair races washed out, the focus now shifts to Sunday, July 4 at Benton County Speedway. And it’s going to be big. As part of “A Celebration at The Bullring” on the Independence Day holiday, the speedway will host weekly racing in all five divisions, plus the Lil’ Racer Car Club benefit raffle. A giant fireworks display will close out the holiday program following the races. Czarapata gets first Outagamie win of season

By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 25) – Friday’s IMCA Modified headliner at Outagamie Speedway started with J.J. Andersen jumping to an early lead as Cody Schroeder and Jason Czarapata gave chase. Czarapata was the first to work the cushion, working his way around Schroeder for second. Czarapata set his sights on Andersen, who was running the tires. Czarapata swept around Andersen and to the lead on lap nine. Schroeder followed suit around the outside, closing right to the back bumper of Czarapata. Schroeder made every move possible but couldn’t find the grip to make the pass. Czarapata scored his first win of the season and a clean sweep to boot. Schroeder had to settle for second at the pay window, Andersen was third. The race went green to checkers. Marshalltown wins race with Mother Nature

By Joyce Eisele MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (June 25) – Three new faces visited victory lane this season on a fast-paced KMJ Performance Free Grandstand Night and Iowa Seamless Gutter VIP Night Friday at Marshalltown Speedway. New winners were Paul Nagle in the IMCA Modifieds, Jay Schmidt in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Vern Jackson in the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods. Jacob Murray and Nagle led the IMCA Modified field to green. Nagle immediately grabbed the lead as Murray settled into second. Ronn Lauritzen started eighth and took over second from Murray with just three laps remaining in the contest. BRAINERD, Minn. (June 26) – IMCA drivers with a history of coming up big at big events made some history again Saturday night. Ethan Dotson led all 30 laps of the IMCA Modified feature that brought out the final checkers of the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes 10K show at North Central Speedway while Benji LaCrosse outran home state foe Luke Lemmens in an IMCA Sunoco Stock Car barnburner that ended green, white, checkers. Modified and Stock Car features paid $10,000 to win, while Jake Sachau earned $5,000 for his Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod victory. Dominator continues support of six IMCA divisions

LYONS, Ohio – Drivers in six IMCA divisions enjoy the support of Dominator Race Products again this season.
