Trailer Race of Destruction, IMCA Stock Cars $750 to win Friday at Luxemburg

This Friday, May 23, Trailer Race participants will take to the track at the end of the show at Luxemburg Speedway to put on a party for the fans. Racing gets underway at 7 p.m. Manitowoc Motor Machining and Miller Beer will sponsor the show. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars will be in the spotlight as the winner will get a cool $750 paycheck. Coopman collects 100th Sport Compact checkers

MANKATO, Minn. (May 18) – After winning the 100th Mach-1 Sport Compact feature of his career, Nate Coopman did the logical thing. He went out and won his 101st. Coopman became the first driver in division with triple digit wins, sweeping the make-up and scheduled features Sunday at Redwood Speedway. Lee County kicks off holiday weekend with Thursday show

DONNELLSON, Iowa – Lee County Speedway gets a jump on the upcoming holiday with its Thursday, May 22 Memorial Day Weekend Kickoff. IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds race for $500 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $400, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250 and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $150. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded for the draw/redraw show. Pit gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps are at 7 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m. There are no entry fees and pit passes are $25 for adults, $15 for students ages 7-15 and $10 for kids six and under. Mitchell Machine renews cash, certificate prizes for top drivers in IMCA Stock Car regions

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa – Three drivers in each of the two regions for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars earn product certificate awards again this season from Mitchell Machine. Top eligible finishers in both the Arnold Motor Supply Northern and Southern regions receive a $250 certificate from the Webster City, Iowa, manufacturer. Eligible drivers finishing second and third in the respective regions receive $100 product certificates. In addition to competing with a Mitchell-built transmission, drivers must return a sign-up form to the IMCA home office by Aug. 1 and display two Mitchell Machine decals on their race car. Herrick, Dancer, Bond, Jones win on opening night at North Platte

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (May 17) – Getting the season started off right Saturday at Lincoln County Raceway were the IMCA quartet of Bryan Herrick, Mikey Dancer, Kyle Bond and Tanner Jones. Herrick led the final five laps of the feature for Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods after starting in the fifth row. Dillon Schultz had snared the lead at the end of lap six from his brother Zach Schultz, who retired from the feature with mechanical issues; Dillon held on to earn runner-up honors. Deery Series bound for Boone on Memorial Day

BOONE, Iowa – The Deery Brothers Summer Series returns to Boone Speedway for its traditional Memorial Day show next Monday, May 26. Touring IMCA Late Models race for $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start the holiday feature. They’ll be joined on the card by IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and mod lites. Cronin motors to Sport Compact win at Eagle

(May 17) – Larry Cronin overcame engine problems endured earlier in the season to win the Sam’s Club IMCA Sport Compact main on Armed Forces Night at Eagle Raceway. “The engine finally held together. Kings’ May 24-25 Nationals features IMCA Modifieds, Super Stocks, SportMods

HANFORD, Calif. – IMCX Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds and West Coast Super Stocks race for $1,500 to win both nights of Kings Speedway’s Saturday and Sunday, May 24-25 Nationals. Proceeds from the weekend special, held for the first time at Hanford, go to Relay for Life. Wenig tops 34 Stock Car feature

By Dana Royer WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (May 17) – Jake Wenig led from the second lap to the checkers in winning his first Pepsi IMCA Stock Car feature of the Season Saturday at 34 Raceway. John Brockway was the initial leader of the Fan Night main event before Wenig drove by. Tom Bowling challenged with four laps to go by Wenig stayed strong and won by three car lengths. Jeff Waterman scored the Ryner Transportation IMCA Modified victory after passing Bill Roberts with four circuits remaining. The Casebine Credit Union IMCA Northern SportMods capped off the night with Joey Gower picking up his first win the year. Gower took the lead from Jonny Williams on lap three and went on to take the checkered flag by several car lengths over Bobby Anders.
