Richards Becomes First Wisconsin Female IMCA Stock Car Winner at Eagle River

By Joe Verdegan EAGLE RIVER, Wis. (July 28, 2026) — Keslie Richards etched her name into Wisconsin racing history Tuesday night at Eagle River Speedway, becoming the first female driver from the state to win a Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature and adding her name to the list of EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region winners this year. The third-generation driver from Montello started third in the 20-lap main event and took advantage of an early restart to drive past polesitter Ryan Glembin for the lead. Once out front, Richards withstood late pressure from former track champion Rod Snellenberger and Jeff Bodendorfer to secure her first career Eagle River Speedway victory. Snellenberger advanced from 10th to finish second and earned hard charger honors. Bodendorfer crossed the stripe third, Mitch Stankowski finished fourth, and Trentin Bell completed the top five.

McBirnie Cashes In with $5,000 Sibley County Stock Car Shootout Victory at Arlington

By Ben Deatherage ARLINGTON, Minn. (July 29, 2026) — Jake McBirnie led all 30 laps to win Wednesday night’s $5,000-to-win Sibley County Stock Car Shootout at Arlington Raceway for the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars before a packed grandstand on opening night of the Sibley County Fair. Driving the Mike Kennedy-owned No. 822, the Boone, Iowa, driver jumped out front at the drop of the green and established a comfortable advantage. An early caution was the race’s lone interruption before the remaining distance went caution-free. The reigning Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s Stock Car champion expertly worked through lapped traffic on multiple occasions while the battle for second unfolded behind him. The victory was McBirnie’s first career Sibley County Stock Car Shootout triumph after finishing runner-up one year ago. It also marked his first EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region win of the season. In addition to collecting substantial lap money by leading every circuit, McBirnie locked himself into the B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Stock Car Invitational to be held during the IMCA Super Nationals, [Read More]

Braydon Whitfield: Chasing Dreams on the Ground and in the Sky

By Ben Deatherage CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (July 28, 2026) — Sometimes all it takes is one opportunity. For Braydon Whitfield, it was a race car sitting idle in the family shop. Three years later, the Casa Grande driver is the reigning Arizona State champion in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods and the owner of his first career IMCA feature victory—a breakthrough that carried far more meaning than another trip to victory lane. Whitfield scored that first win on April 17 at Central Arizona Raceway, just five days after the passing of his great-grandfather, Roy. “I was happy to have most of my family there to watch me get it,” Whitfield said. “To be there together after everything that had happened was pretty cool.” The victory became both a celebration and a tribute. Just months after claiming a state championship in only his second full season, Whitfield had added another milestone to what has become one of Arizona’s fastest-rising racing careers.
