Z4 Products gives Deery Series awards

AMES, Iowa (March 24) – Two drivers receive awards from Z4 Products at each Deery Brothers Summer Series event this season. Both the pole starter and the Sunoco Race Fuels drawing winner for all IMCA Late Model tour features get bottles of leak sealer and cooling conditioner from the fourth-year sponsor from Ames, Iowa. The 28th annual series opens Saturday, April 5 at Crawford County Speedway. The finale is Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3-4 at West Liberty Raceway. IMCA drivers in five divisions chase Performance Distributors prizes

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (March 18) – Drivers in five IMCA divisions are in the running for contingencies from Performance Dis­tributors again this season. Product awards and product certificates go to eligible competitors in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod, Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMod and Mach-1 Sport Compact divisions. Top eligible drivers in each Stock Car and Hobby Stock region, and in national standings for the Northern SportMods and Southern SportMods all receive DUI distribu­tors. Second-place drivers each get $100 product certificates, with $75 for third, $50 for fourth and $25 for fifth. Both the Sport Compact national champion and national rookie of the year receive Dyna-Batt batteries. Se­cond through fifth place finishers in national standings for the 4-cylinder class all get $50 product certificates. Practice sessions return to Willamette Speedway

(March 4) – For years, Friday nights at Willamette Speedway mostly meant a chance for drivers to shake down their car before the big race on Saturday, to fine tune their machines and troubleshoot any hiccups their mounts were giving them. Open practices are back on select dates at the historic 1/3-mile clay oval in 2014 after a couple years’ hiatus. “After not having practices for the last couple years, drivers started giving us feedback,” commented Track Manager Chris Nofziger. “They told us that they felt they would be more competitive if there was a night or two during the year where they could come out and just figure stuff out. With us bringing practices back, I think fans will see our already quality competition get even tougher.” The first opportunity for cars to hit the track in 2014 will be during two test and tune sessions on Saturday, April 5 and Friday, April 11.
